It's a Gnome's World - 12 month series

It's a Gnome's World has been a fun, and popular series of patterns. Each block can stand alone, or be grouped to make this wall hanging.
Blocks measure 8" x 8" finished.
The finished wall quilt measures approximately
Finishing requires one yard of the Gingerbread Brown, which is used as a foundation for all 12 blocks.
Each block was spaced 1 1/2 inches apart. I started by drawing a chalk line, then another 1 1/2" below. I made a chalk line down the side, 1 1/2" inches from the edge. Using an 8" square ruler, I chalked out the placement for the block, then another 1 1/2" for space in between. Then another block, space, another block, and then the 1 1/2" side border.
I stitched each block, made sure everything was straight, and even, and then repeated for the following rows. The brown background should be approximately 30" x 37 1/2".
Once each block has been blanket stitched, the piece of brown is then placed on top of one yard of the Juniper Green Glen Plaid fabric. All fabric used for this project came from Weeks Dye Works. Their hand dyed wool fabric is larger than 36". It was closer to 38". I didn't even have to trim!
