I'm still working on the rabbit. We have this amazing flannel fabric, that looks like hand dyed wool, and feels just incredible. So I decided to have another "go" at the bunny. Your thoughts?

I thought I might show you some of the process I go through. There is a lot of trial and error when I design a new pattern. The project goes through a complete metamorphosis that even I can't begin to understand. Does it ever feel "finished"...never! I could tweak things forever! ![]() Okay, so I changed out the leaves, will replace the wings, changed the angle of the bird...it's nowhere near the original. Maybe that is why I'm not happy with the progress? These flowers still need a vase of some sort..or maybe not? They look a little lonely... ![]() This little bunny is peeking through the tulips in the garden. Not sure I'm crazy about the size of the little flowers. Mom asked me where is the rest of him! oh dear...Maybe I'll have this done for next year? ![]() A couple of new wool felt candle mats. I prefer to use the wool felt for the scalloped edges of this mat. This mat was a lot of fun to make, and I'm just finishing up the instructions. Diameter: 14" CT 512 Spring Posies Candle Mat Starlight Waltz! Approximate Size: 57" x 75" We were inspired by the traditional Tennessee Waltz design, and decided to make a waltz among the stars. The result is our Starlight Waltz. I love the optical illusion you get with the star and chain. Mom and I made this quilt as a team effort, and it was so much fun to see it all come together. Now to make one in brighter colors! |
